Generational experts William Strauss and Neil Howe coined the term 'Millennials' to describe the generation that came after 'Gen X.' Born in 1982 or after and coming of age right now, the Millennials are reversing teenage trends associated with rebellion. Strauss and Howe cite research that indicates Millennials take fewer risks, are more socially conscious and strive to solve political conflict by working within the system instead of against it. They describe why they are convinced the Millennials will be 'the next great generation.' But, will the audience be convinced after meeting four Millennials? Robert Thompson is a 25-year-old history teacher running for state office. Michael Sapp is a high school student who wants to be an actor, but can't make the grade. Alaina Bernard is an environmental activist worried about global warming. Laura Kozub is an army ROTC cadet who knows she'll probably be heading to Iraq after she graduates. Interspersed between the stories of these Millennials are interviews with their 'helicopter parents,' their teachers, their mentors and their peers. The documentary provides compelling stories and factual evidence that will allow the audience to decide whether they should be worried or optimistic about a future that lies in the hands of 'Who's Next.'
