The Young Composers Challenge takes home inaugural
Judges’ Choice award; The Circle Closes wins for editing

Orlando FL: November 7, 2010. Mr. Rick Alexander (seen below), Mr. Keith Lay and Mr. Michael Morgan shared a top award from the Florida Motion Picture Television Association. The Los Angeles-based judges of the 2010 Crystal Reel Awards created a special “Judges’ Choice” award for the competition entry that scored highest overall, and that was The Young Composers Challenge for audio excellence.

It honors professionals, established and emerging, who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity. |

November 8, 2010 FILMS WIN CRYSTAL REEL AWARDS
The Florida Motion Picture Association presented two Crystal Reel Awards to The Young Composers Challenge, one for best audio in a documentary film, and another for best overall score in a craft (audio). Congratulations to the film's audio team: Rick Alexander (field), Keith Lay (post), and Michael Morgan (orchestra performance mix). The Circle Closes also received an award for best editing in a short film. Congratulations to Timothy George Brown, editor.
August 5, 2010 LISA MILLS SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH HILTZ SQUARED MEDIA
This summer Lisa Mills selected Myles Shane of Hiltz Squared Media in Toronto to represent her films as a sales agent in the broadcast, cable, Internet and educational markets. Mr. Shane is now shopping The Young Composers Challenge, Dear Mr. Gore, and The Circle Closes in various media markets.
August 6, 2010 STANFORD LAW SCHOOL TO REPRESENT FILM PRO BONO
The Stanford Law School Fair Use in Documentary Project will represent The Young Composers Challenge pro bono as Lisa Mills begins to seek Errors and Omissions Insurance for the film.
